Julia enjoys her snack time. Since she discovered the Cheerios book is read with a Cheerios snack, I find the book laying on the high chair tray a lot. It is her non-verbal request for a snack. Generally, she puts one Cheerios “O” down on the book and then picks it up and puts it in her mouth. She gets this from Emily’s rule that you have to complete the page and then get to eat the snack. Just one more thing to learn from your big sister.

We had a real picnic of goldfish. The girls were so good to share and take turns. They loved the idea of a snack picnic. I’m surprised they haven’t asked to have another one. There was a little dress-up play before our snack – the jewels and tutu were just leftovers. Fun, fun, fun!!

This is how a Daddy treats his daughter right! Robby was finishing up a snack and Julia decided she wanted to sample some herself. I believe she got a finger taste of icing as a reward for just looking darn cute.

One of Daddy’s favorite snacks is potato chips and french onion dip. Over the weekend, Mommy made a fresh batch of dip, so while she was out I decided to share one of life’s great pleasures with Emily. Emily loves to dip her food in all kinds of sauces, so I expected her to enjoy our little treat. And she did!

I gave Emily her own bowl with some french onion dip in it. She would put a chip into the bowl, take it out, and then lick the dip off the chip, and then repeat this many times for each potato chip. Eventually, snack time came to an end, so I asked Emily if she was done with the bowl, which still had some dip in it. She said “No.” Then without chips, she scooped the dip out of the bowl with her hands, and proceeded to shove it into her mouth, licking her fingers clean in the process. When she was done, the bowl was spotless.

She is definitely my daughter.
