6 Month Doctor Appointment

July 27th, 2007 by Mommy

Emily is 6 months old and it’s time for another doctor appointment. At this visit she weighed in at 14 lbs 4 oz. and 25 1/2 inches. The doctor was pleased with her growth and gave her a clean bill of health. With this visit she didn’t have as many shots, so we didn’t hear as many cries. She bounced back from this set of shots by the next morning. I’m sure glad that we can get all of these shots out of the way while she can’t remember. We will go back for another check up at 9 months.

4 Month Doctor Appointment

May 17th, 2007 by Mommy

We had another good checkup at 4 months. She weighed in at 12 lbs. 2 oz. and 23-1/2 inches. As of her first two visits her size was in the 15th percentile for children her age. With this visit she has grown into the 25th percentile for size. I can tell that she has been growing because my arms get tired when I am holding her. Obviously she is growing faster than my arm muscles. At this visit she had a very traumatic four shots and one oral vaccination. I don’t think I have ever heard her cry so loud or make more tears. She took it easy for the remainder of the day and napped a lot. I think it is going to take longer this time to recover from the shot. She will go back to visit the doctor for a 6 month visit.

6 Week Doctor Appointment

March 21st, 2007 by Mommy

We went to visit the doctor for Emily’s 6 week visit. She had a good checkup. She weighed in at 8 lbs and 21-1/4 inches. She is just right for her small starting size. She got four shots and one oral vaccination that didn’t make her happy. It took about 24 hours for her legs to stop being sensitive to the shots. She was a trooper. She will go back to visit the doctor for a 4 month visit.
