I don’t know what the Easter Bunny looked like at your house, but ours was a really sweet baby bunny. Julia’s first Easter was not too different from her other days. She napped, ate, and played just like usual. She just did them at church and at Grammy and Granddaddy’s house. She watched Emily play and got passed to a few extra arms to be held.

For being mid-April this Easter should have been a warm one, but it had a little coolness to the day. So in finding a sweater for Julia I found one that was mine. Grammy found a photo of me in this same sweater. I thought the sweater helps makes the bunny look.

We are really blessed with our little one.  Happy First Easter Julia!

We enjoyed our day of Easter celebration. What a joyful time of remembering the hope that we have in Christ and the redemption He has provided for us! My heart is lightened!

Emily seemed to really enjoy spending the day with people and Julia’s first Easter was filled with napping and playing everywhere we went. After church we ate lunch, took a nap, hunted Easter eggs, watched Emily eat way too much sugar, visited, ate again, and then had bedtime. Emily’s eggs were filled with gummy snacks and chick & bunny shaped marshmallows. Yummy!!

We put the kick-piano toy into Julia’s cradle for her to play with. Luckily, it has a off switch, or else we wouldn’t use it. She likes to kick her feet out of her blanket and that transitions to this toy well. So far she seems to like the toy and the music it plays to her. We have noticed that as Julia’s toys have gotten cooler, Emily has taken an interest in them. We are finding that Emily has begun stealing Julia’s toys more and more. The toys that are fastened to objects like the car seat are safe, but everything else, including the pacifier, has been stolen. When Julia is in her cradle and kicking the piano, Emily is just beside herself to try to push the buttons too. For as much as Emily steals Julia’s toys, she also likes to bring toys to Julia. Julia can end up with a rather full lap of toys because of Emily’s sharing.

Emily has lots of these kisses for Julia! Emily shows affection for lots of things through kisses. She kisses Mommy, Daddy, sister, dolly, pooh, and even a pair of shoes with fish on the soles.

Julia doesn’t have very many tricks, but she sure has wonderful smiles! Funny – these were taken the same day, but at two different times. I guess that this is her signature smile. Enjoy our happy girl!!

Emily thought that Julia should talk on the toy phone, or at least hold it. Julia was not interested. Actually, she was complaining about having to play with Emily. Emily is so good to want to play and interact with Julia. Sometimes it works great and sometimes Julia is just not interested.
