(5 months) Daddy took Emily into the deep end of the pool. The deep end isn’t so deep for Daddy.

(5 months) Grandpa also got to play with Emily in the pool. She loved when he took her around the pool ‘motorboating’. Here they are just floating in his arms. He’s quite smitten.

(5 months) Emily’s introduction to the swimming and the pool was made by Grandma. Emily’s toes are exploring the pool for the first time.

(5 months) We have taken Emily out now for a third day of swimming at Grandma and Grandpa’s. With each trip out she likes it more and is interested in staying out longer. Our first swim was for about 10 minutes and our third swim was about 30 minutes long. Today she was sleepy after her swim so we made her dry and put her in the swing in the shade to nap. She is such a big girl!

Emily went for her first swim in Grandma and Grandpa’s swimming pool. She really seemed to like the water.

Emily has learned a new trick. She can roll on to her tummy, though she hasn’t figured out how to roll back on to her backside. She doesn’t like being on her tummy for too long, so she gets crabby, once she realizes the pickle she’s gotten herself into.
